The project was initiated by the Association of Indigenous Women of Dourados (AMID), represented by Lenir Paiva, who liaises with the community. The scientific project was carried out by Prof. Dr. Zefa Pereira of the University of Grande Dourados (UFGD), while local financial administration is the responsibility of the Association of Organic Farmers (APOMS), represented by Olácio Komori on the Brazilian side. Legal advice is provided by the Justicia Institute, represented by Aquiles Paulus. In Germany, the Tarahumara Fans Association, represented by Elen Mary Machado, promotes the project internationally and seeks funding.

The partners are equal and operate under shared management.
