They are responsible for planting and caring for the seedlings until they are able to develop on their own.

The project’s liaison with the community. Lenir has also been an Environmental Officer for the village of Jaguapirú since 2026.

Finance and logistics in the field
As director of the Justitia Institute, he is responsible for the project’s finances and logistical support.

The project has four scholarship holders. As pupils at the cooperative schools, they are part of the practical environmental education programme – for a few paid hours each week, they look after the nursery and the cistern.
